You can print directly from your smartphone, tablet, or computer using HP Wi-Fi Direct — no special network access required.

Turn On Wi-Fi Direct

1. Tap the Wi-Fi Direct icon on the printer’s control panel.

2. If you don’t see it, press the “i” (Information) button to view more options.

3. Confirm that Wi-Fi Direct is turned on.

Printing from Apple Devices (iPhone, iPad, or Mac)

1. Open your device’s Wi-Fi settings.

2. Select the network that begins with DIRECT-XX-HP (followed by the printer model).

3.Enter the password displayed on the printer screen (default is usually 12345678, unless changed).

4. Open the document, tap Print, and select the HP printer.

Printing from Android Devices

1. Install the HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store (if not already installed) and make sure it’s enabled.

2. Go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect to the DIRECT-XX-HP network.

3. Enter the password shown on the printer screen.

4. Open your document and select Print.

Printing from Windows 10 Devices

1. Open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the DIRECT-XX-HP network.

2. Enter the password shown on the printer screen.

3. Open your document and select Print, choosing the HP printer.
